The Nogud Legacy is one of the biggest payoff series in Foxworthy's connected timeline. It takes place in a far-future world shaped by old catastrophe, scattered villages, and fragments of lost civilization. By the time these books begin, the past is not just gone. It has become legend, debris, and a puzzle that still affects the present.

The early books stay fairly close to that local world, following a wanderer's movement through communities that have survived in reduced form after disaster. But the series keeps opening outward.
