A-Force Presents (Charles Soule) Books in Order

A-Force Presents is an anthology collection rather than a continuous Charles Soule series. The volumes gather opening issues from several Marvel comics led by women, letting readers sample heroes with very different lives, powers, and corners of the Marvel universe.

Soule's connection comes through She-Hulk. His run follows Jennifer Walters as she balances superhero work with a new law practice, and that makes her chapters a good fit for the collection's mix of action and personality. Jennifer can trade punches with a supervillain, then go straight back to a difficult legal case.

It is a good way to test several series at once.

Other entries may include stories starring Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Thor, Squirrel Girl, and more. They do not all share one plot, and readers should not expect a team book. Instead, each issue acts as an introduction to a particular hero and the tone of her regular series.

That variety is the main appeal. One story may be cosmic adventure. Another may be espionage, neighborhood comedy, courtroom drama, or mythic fantasy. New readers can use the collections to find a character they like, then move into that character's own volumes.
