The Thomas Elkin series follows two New York architects who approach both work and life from opposite directions. Thomas Elkin is an established, traditional draftsman in his forties. Cooper Jones is a driven twenty-two-year-old intern with talent, ambition, and no interest in being dismissed because of his age.

Tom has already made major changes before the series begins. He came out, ended his marriage, and repaired his relationship with his son, yet he still believes he has a firm handle on what his future should look like. Cooper arrives to challenge almost every part of that certainty.

Elements of Retrofit brings them together at work, where professional friction turns personal. Clarity of Lines follows them as their age gap and the reaction of people around them put pressure on a new relationship. Sense of Place completes their story as they decide what home, family, and commitment mean for both of them.

Architecture gives the series its language and structure, but the emotional stakes are personal. Tom and Cooper must learn to communicate across differences in generation, experience, confidence, and family expectations.
