Soul Collector Books in Order

Soul Collector throws Shane Ryan into one of his ugliest cases. A missing girl pulls him into a story involving biker gangs, haunted locations, and a larger force gathering power around an academy of the dead. That combination gives the series a harsh edge even by Shane Ryan standards.

This is not a gentle haunting.

The books mix ghost horror with a grounded sense of criminal menace. Shane is not only dealing with restless spirits. He is tracking living predators, trying to stop more victims from disappearing, and following a trail that keeps turning darker the farther he goes. Leo Moreland and Jimmy Hsu are both tied into this part of the wider universe, which helps give the series a strong team dynamic.

There is also a strong undercurrent of old pain in these books. Shane is already a damaged man by the time Soul Collector begins, and the case keeps pressing on the parts of him that are hardest to protect. That emotional pressure helps separate the series from pure action horror.

At the same time, Ripley does not let the pace sag. The investigations move fast, the enemies hit hard, and the supernatural side of the plot keeps widening as the books go on. What starts with one missing child grows into a larger struggle over souls, control, and the kind of evil that hides comfortably among the living.

If you want a darker Shane Ryan run with high stakes and very little sentimentality, Soul Collector is one of the stronger places to look.
