Death Hunter Books in Order

Death Hunter is a later Shane Ryan series, and it feels meaner, more personal, and more driven by pursuit than some of the earlier books. Shane is already a seasoned ghost hunter by this point. Instead of one central location, the tension comes from movement, investigation, and the feeling that every object has its own ugly history. A deadly toy, a haunted book, a seductive spirit, and other relics all feed into the larger chase.

The books also bring in key allies such as Jimmy Hsu and James Moran, which makes this corner of Ripley's universe feel more connected. The human villains matter as much as the ghosts here. Shane is not just battling the dead. He is dealing with smugglers, killers, manipulators, and people who think they can control the supernatural for profit.

That human greed is what gives Death Hunter its edge. The series is full of action, but there is also a grim sense that the living can be worse than the spirits they unleash.

If you already like Shane Ryan, this is one of the sharper series to follow next. It pushes his moral code, ties him to a wider network of occult trouble, and turns ghost hunting into something closer to a manhunt, only with the dead making every step more dangerous.
