Dark Relics Books in Order

Dark Relics shifts the focus away from Shane Ryan as lead and gives the spotlight to Craig Ellison, a man born with the ability to see and speak with ghosts. Craig is not hunting random hauntings. He is hired to retrieve dangerous supernatural objects for a mysterious employer named Peregrine Stark, which means every job comes with money, secrecy, and a very real chance that somebody is lying.

Craig is joined by Tara Pride, who brings psychic ability and backbone of her own, and Shane Ryan turns up as an ally when the jobs get especially bad. That trio gives the series a strong team feel. Instead of one man bracing against a haunted site, you get a group navigating cursed woods, ruined castles, and remote islands where the relic matters just as much as the ghost attached to it.

The tone is a little broader than some of Ripley's earlier work. The books travel more, the cases are more mission-based, and the relics connect to old histories in different parts of the world. But the danger stays very Ron Ripley. The spirits are vicious, the stakes are immediate, and every location feels like it has been waiting for the wrong people to arrive.

If you like cursed-object horror with a little adventure mixed in, Dark Relics is a strong pick. Craig is a likable lead, the jobs are varied, and the series keeps a healthy question hanging over everything: who exactly benefits when these relics are recovered?
