Series background & context

Severinov Bratva shifts Kristen Luciani's dark romance into Russian mafia territory and follows a family of powerful, damaged men who do not know how to separate business from obsession. The books are connected, but each one gives a different couple the spotlight, which makes the series easy to read straight through or in pieces.

The shared world is what ties it all together. The Severinov brothers operate across casinos, private deals, and violent underworld politics, with the action stretching from Las Vegas to glossier, more international settings. That gives the books a little more sweep than a closed-room mafia story. There is still the same intense possessiveness Luciani likes, but the backdrop feels bigger and more mobile.

Book by book, the appeal comes from how each hero handles power. Merciless throws a card counter into the path of a man who wants payment in a form far more personal than money. Possessive and Vengeful keep building on the mix of family duty, retaliation, and desire gone wrong. Ravage closes the line with a protector romance that reminds you how costly this world can be, even for the people who seem to control it.

These men are loyal, but not gentle.

If you enjoy dark romance where every book gives you a new couple while keeping the family war humming in the background, Severinov Bratva is a good fit. The tone is tense, sexual, and a little glossy, but it never forgets that violence is part of the infrastructure.
