Series background & context

Sinfully Savage is one of Kristen Luciani's core mafia worlds, and it feels big from the start. The series follows the Villani family and the people who get tied to them through arranged marriages, rivalries, kidnappings, and the kind of attraction that almost always makes the political situation worse.

If you want the quick version, think powerful Italian mafia men, sharp heroines, and a setting that moves between the Las Vegas strip and the luxury of the Italian Riviera. Luciani herself frames this world as one of dangerous, sexy alphas and quick-witted women who can give it back just as hard. That is exactly the energy these books run on.

Savage Prince works as a useful entry point because it shows an early collision in this world before Savage Ruler kicks off the larger family saga. From there, arranged marriage becomes one of the big engines of the series. Mateo and Heaven set the tone with a relationship built on force, power, and stubborn resistance. Later books widen the focus to other couples, but the same ingredients stay in play, loyalty, heat, danger, and family obligations that do not leave much room for softness.

The series also rewards readers who like crossover feeling between books. Characters from earlier stories matter later. Grudges last. Alliances shift. By the time you reach titles like Savage Sinner, Savage Hunter, and Savage Secret, the world feels lived in, not just reused.

It is a family saga first, even when each romance can stand on its own. That makes Sinfully Savage a strong place to start if you want the fullest version of what Kristen Luciani does best.
