Series background & context

Ruthless Revenge is for readers who like one couple, one long emotional arc, and absolutely no easy exits. The trilogy follows Massimo and Kristina through a story that starts with murder, hidden motives, and a bodyguard arrangement that is never as simple as it looks.

Kristina is not meant to inherit this kind of life. After her parents are killed, she is forced back into a criminal world she had every reason to keep at arm's length. Massimo arrives as protection, but he is carrying secrets of his own and has his own reasons for staying close. That gap between what he shows and what he hides is what powers the early books.

The setup is dark, but the appeal is emotional as much as strategic. Kristina is trying to protect what remains of her family while learning that the people around her are not operating from the same truth. Massimo is caught between obsession, guilt, and the consequences of his own choices. Because the trilogy stays with them from Killer Kiss through Stolen Soul and Evil Empire, the romance gets to stretch and crack under real pressure.

This is not an interconnected-standalone series where each book resets with a new couple. It is one continuous mess. Lies do not disappear at the end of book one. Betrayal does not get fixed in a single scene. The world keeps moving, the power struggle keeps widening, and the relationship has to survive every new reveal.

If that sounds like your kind of binge, this trilogy delivers. It sits comfortably beside Luciani's other mafia books, but it feels especially good for readers who want a longer payoff and a couple who have to earn every inch of their ending.
