Lawson Gale is an introverted lepidopterist, an expert on butterflies who arrives in Tasmania searching for an elusive species. Jack Brighton is a Parks and Wildlife officer who knows the local landscape and is more comfortable outdoors with his dog, Rosemary, than with the complicated feelings Lawson brings into his life.

In Imago, Lawson’s scientific search becomes intertwined with his growing bond with Jack. The second book, Imagines, continues their story as they work out how to turn attraction and adventure into a lasting partnership.
