Series background & context
Wicked Earls' Club is a shared Regency series built on the very useful idea that men with terrible reputations are often the most entertaining ones to watch fall in love. The earls at the center of these books are whispered about, admired, avoided, or all three, and the series repeatedly asks whether society's version of a wicked man is the whole truth.
That gives the books a strong balance of gossip and redemption. The heroes have titles and history. The heroines are not easily fooled. By the time the club element starts to matter, readers are already primed for secrets, loyalties, and the kind of male friendships that make future books more tempting.
Fish contributed Earl of Basingstoke, Earl of Woodcliffe, and Earl of Barrow. Her entries fit the series well, leaning into rumor, longing, and the pleasure of watching a supposed rogue meet the woman who changes his calculations.
