Series background & context

Sweet Bay Billionaires, written under Kellie McAllen's Rachel Taylor name, is a small-town contemporary romance series set in Sweet Bay. The town is a close-knit seaside community where old family stories linger, ambitious business plans draw scrutiny, and returning home can mean facing people who remember exactly who you used to be.

Money is present, but it does not solve the real problems.

Dating Her Billionaire Boss introduces Layla, an aspiring actor whose Hollywood plans have fallen apart. She returns to Sweet Bay and takes a job as personal assistant to Calvin Montgomery, a billionaire business owner who was once the poor, bullied boy Layla treated badly. Calvin wants to build a resort that may change the town, while Layla has to prove that she sees him as more than a source of security.

In Stalking the Billionaire Celebrity, reporter Cara finds Beau Bennett hiding at the Sweet Bay Resort after a media scandal. She poses as a housekeeper because she wants a story that could help her career. Beau's public image is not the whole man, but Cara's secret gives their growing connection a serious problem before it can become something real.

Sweet Bay has long memories.

Falling For Her Billionaire Enemy brings chef Lindsey and billionaire restaurant developer Alex Pennington together after they inherit halves of the same old restaurant. Lindsey wants to protect her grandmother's legacy and reopen the place. Alex sees valuable land and a business opportunity. Their opposing plans make them partners by necessity, and the kitchen becomes a place where compromise, history, and attraction all start to heat up.

The series is built around recognizable romance setups: former bullies getting a second chance, a reporter hiding her purpose, and business rivals who must work together. The billionaires have influence and resources, but the stories keep returning to the question of whether they can build trust with people who have good reasons to doubt them.

The novels are linked by Sweet Bay and its overlapping community, yet each centers on a different couple. They can be read as standalones, though publication order lets readers see the town's changes and recurring characters in sequence. Start with Dating Her Billionaire Boss for the clearest entry into the setting, then continue with Cara and Beau's story before moving to Lindsey and Alex's restaurant clash.
