Rebel Wolf Books in Order

Rebel Wolf is a tighter, more romance forward branch of Linsey Hall's catalog. It is only two books, which gives it a different rhythm from her longer linked worlds. The setup lands fast. A woman on the run from the mob is cornered into one impossible job, rob the most powerful man in the city. That would already be bad. It gets worse when she learns he is not just rich and dangerous. He is a werewolf, and the pull between them is very real.

Lyra is the kind of Hall heroine who survives by thinking fast and keeping moving. She has been carrying her father's debt and the consequences of his choices for years, and by the time the story opens, she is already tired of living like prey. What makes her interesting is that she is not just reacting to supernatural chaos. She already knows how to live under pressure. The werewolf world does not create her problems. It collides with the human ones she is already juggling.

Then Garreth Locke enters the picture.

Garreth is the power center of the series, wealthy, magnetic, and dangerous in ways Lyra does not fully understand at first. Their relationship leans hard into enemies to lovers and fated mates, but the books keep practical danger in the foreground. Lyra cannot afford to fall apart around him. She is trying to stay alive, hide what she is doing, and avoid becoming collateral damage in pack politics she never asked to join.

Because it is a duology, the series moves quickly from setup to escalation. The first book handles the collision between Lyra and Garreth, while the second has room to push harder on pack pressure, loyalty, and what it means when desire turns into something more binding. That makes Rebel Wolf a nice option if you want Hall's usual mix of action and romance without committing to a five book arc.

The tone is urban fantasy romance with a sharper focus on the central couple. There is humor, but the mood comes more from tension than banter. The books are also more compact than some of the Dragon's Gift branches, so they work well if you want a story that gets to its point quickly and stays there.

Start with Midnight Moon. If you like werewolves, fated mates, and a heroine who has no patience for being pushed around by either criminals or destiny, this duology is an easy place to jump in.
