Highland Rogues (Lois Greiman) Books in Order

Highland Rogues grows directly out of Greiman's Highland world, especially the MacGowan side of it, so it works best if you like clan politics mixed with romance, danger, and a little prophecy.

The books focus on the MacGowan brothers, Ramsay, Gilmour, and Lachlan, while drawing in the Fraser women whose futures seem tied to them in ways nobody entirely trusts. That gives the series a strong family feeling. The characters do not arrive as strangers to the world. They come with baggage, history, and people already interfering in their business.

In The Fraser Bride, Anora Fraser turns to Ramsay MacGowan for protection as she tries to escape a cruel marriage. The Macgowen Betrothal keeps the pressure on with Gilmour and the stubborn Isobel Fraser, a pairing shadowed by secrets and a prophecy nobody wants to take at face value. The Warrior Bride brings Lachlan MacGowan into the spotlight and circles around the mysterious warrior called Hunter, adding another layer of identity and suspicion.

Compared with the earlier Highland Brides books, these stories feel a little tighter around one family unit and a little more openly tangled in fate. There is still action, travel, and plenty of chemistry, but there is also a recurring sense that old promises and old patterns are steering the characters whether they like it or not.

If you enjoy Scottish historical romance with brothers who bicker, heroines who refuse to make things easy, and just enough mysticism to keep the edges strange, Highland Rogues is a satisfying follow-on series.
