The Girl Online series is Zoe Sugg's contemporary young adult trilogy about Penny Porter, a teenager whose private thoughts are much easier to share online than out loud. Penny writes an anonymous blog called Girl Online, where she talks about school, friendship, boys, and the panic attacks she tries to hide in everyday life.
The series opens with Girl Online. After a run of embarrassing problems at school, Penny travels with her family to New York and meets Noah Flynn, a charming American musician. Their connection feels like an escape from the pressure back home, and Penny begins to write about it on her blog. But Noah has a secret of his own, one that could turn her online refuge into another source of trouble.
Penny's blog is the heart of the books.
