Coven Pointe is a shared-world paranormal romance setting, so it works a little differently from Deanna Chase's solo series. Multiple authors write in the same universe, but Chase's entries have a clear connection to her own Bourbon Street world and bring in the mix she likes best, witches, danger, attraction, and a fast-moving supernatural problem.

In her stories, the focus falls on Mati Ballintine and Vaughn, an incubus hero who is exactly as complicated as that job description suggests. These are shorter works, so the emotional beats hit quickly. Desire matters, but so do the magical threats, especially when angels, demons, and supernatural power struggles enter the picture.

The shared-world setup means the series is broader than any one couple, but Chase keeps her own contributions readable on their own.
