Well Met Books in Order

The Well Met series is a set of connected contemporary romances built around the Willow Creek Renaissance Faire in the fictional small town of Willow Creek, Maryland. Each book centers on a new couple, but the volunteers, local businesses, relatives, and familiar Faire regulars keep turning up. Reading in order lets the friendships and earlier love stories build naturally.

It begins with Well Met, when Emily Parker comes to town to help her sister after an accident and gets pulled into volunteering alongside her teenage niece. Simon Graham, a schoolteacher and the Faire's exacting volunteer manager, sees her as trouble. Outside costume they clash, but on the grounds their playful alter egos create a very different spark.

The later books widen the circle. Well Played follows longtime volunteer Stacey as an email exchange upends what she thinks she knows about a summer fling. In Well Matched, single mother April and popular coach Mitch make a fake-dating bargain that gets increasingly hard to call pretend. Well Traveled leaves Willow Creek for the road as attorney Lulu joins the touring Faire circuit with guitarist Dex.

Well Versed brings the focus back to April's daughter Caitlin and her first love, Alex, when they reunite at the Faire years after their teenage heartbreak. The series uses familiar romance setups, including enemies to lovers, mistaken identity, fake dating, and second chances, while the shared setting gives every book a sense of history.

Expect playful banter, volunteer squabbles, and plenty of details about rehearsals, performers, food, costumes, and the work it takes to make a seasonal event run. The stakes are mostly emotional: careers, family obligations, old hurts, and the fear that choosing love could mean changing a carefully planned life.
