Series background & context

The Weather Brothers is a superhero and action series centered on Benjamin and Samuel Matthews. The brothers are wise-cracking heroes whose abilities and family connection place them in the middle of threats that are bigger than either of them expects.

The series starts with Brothers of Fire and Rain. Its title points to the brothers' contrasting powers and to the comic-book flavor of the story, where banter, danger, and superhuman problems arrive together.

Family is part of the job.

In Fighting Immortals, a secretive and dangerous organization wants to bring the Weather Brothers into its plans. That puts Benjamin and Samuel in a position where they must decide who to trust and how far they are willing to go to protect one another.

The third entry, The Weather Brothers VS Champion, brings the brothers into contact with Champion, another major hero in St Clair's fiction. The crossover keeps the focus on clashes between people with extraordinary abilities, but it also gives the series a broader shared-world feel.

These stories are short, energetic superhero adventures. They favor quick setups, supernatural or superpowered threats, and characters who keep talking even when the situation has become very dangerous. Readers looking for a long, slow-burn epic may find the pace brisk, while readers who enjoy comic-book-style team-ups will recognize the appeal.

Begin with Brothers of Fire and Rain, then read Fighting Immortals before moving to the Champion crossover. Reading in that order gives the brothers' partnership room to develop before their world expands.
