The Malvagio Duet Books in Order

The Malvagio Duet is a tightly wound, two book MM mafia romance co written by Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. It trades skyscrapers and courtrooms for the shadows of New York’s criminal underworld, while still keeping the focus firmly on the connection between two men who should be enemies.

On one side is Domenico Rossetti, a ruthless mafia prince raised to protect his family’s empire. Dom has grown up in a world where weakness gets you killed, loyalty is everything, and love is a luxury men like him cannot afford. He wears expensive suits, carries himself like a king, and has a reputation for being as cold as he is dangerous.

On the other side is Luca Davis, a driven medical student who believes he knows where his life is headed. He has no idea that the story he has been told about his past is a carefully constructed lie. When a simmering war between the Rossetti and Fiore crime families explodes, Luca is taken from the only life he has known and thrust into Dom’s orbit as a pawn in a much bigger game.

The first book, Forbidden Mafia Prince, traps the two together in forced proximity. As the families jockey for position and the body count rises, Dom and Luca are stashed away from the front lines. The longer they are confined, the harder it becomes to pretend that their sharp words and resentful glares are not masking a fierce, undeniable attraction.

In Sinful Mafia Prince, the fragile bond they have built is tested when Luca is reclaimed by the Fiores, and Dom has to choose between obeying his father or going to war for the man he has come to love. The story leans into questions of blood loyalty versus chosen family, what it means to carve out a different future, and whether two men raised on opposite sides of a feud can survive if they refuse to let go of each other.

Tone wise, the duet is darker than Frank’s Chicagoverse books, with more explicit violence and moral gray areas, but it still carries her hallmarks: intense chemistry, banter that cuts through the tension, and a hard earned happily ever after that feels all the sweeter for the danger it took to reach it.
