Series background & context
The Brewer Family series is Adriana Locke’s newer family romance world, mixing wealth, sports, business, and big romantic setups. The books are interconnected standalones, so each Brewer gets a full romance while the family web keeps growing around them.
The series opens with The Proposal, a forbidden sports romance with rugby bad boy Renn Brewer and his best friend’s little sister. A Las Vegas mistake turns into a 90-day marriage of convenience, which is very much a Locke kind of problem: ridiculous on the surface, emotionally risky underneath.
The Arrangement moves into workplace and age-gap territory with Jason Brewer, the CEO of Brewer Air and a former military hero. What starts as a practical arrangement with a woman who needs help becomes harder to keep businesslike once real tenderness and attraction enter the deal.
The Invitation adds cameras, fake dating, and enemies-to-lovers heat. Ripley Brewer and the heroine are hired to act like a couple for a reality show, but pretending in public gets messy when private feelings stop cooperating.
The later books keep the family tension high. The Merger pairs grumpy Gannon Brewer with a woman tied to his inner circle, turning a plant-care excuse into a forbidden office fling. The Situation gives Tate Brewer a one-night stand that becomes complicated when he turns up as the heroine’s new chief marketing officer.
The Brewers are polished, wealthy, and used to getting what they want, but the romances work because the heroines are not pushovers. Expect spicy setups, family interference, workplace sparks, sports-adjacent drama, and people learning that a deal can solve a problem while creating a much bigger one.
