Ten Realms Books in Order

The Ten Realms is probably the series most readers associate with Michael Chatfield first, and it is easy to see why. The hook is strong right away. Erik West, an ex-combat medic, and Jimmy Rugrat Rodriguez, his closest friend, get marked by the two week curse and learn they are about to be pulled out of their world. The tone is tactical and system-heavy. If you like lots of crafting, planning, and concrete advancement, Ten Realms gives you a lot of it. The battles can get big, but the series still works best when it is showing how effort stacks over time, one resource, one alliance, and one hard-fought gain after another.
