Series background & context

The Talions series follows the Kyth, an ancient people with the ability to manipulate human energy. Most Kyth live quietly alongside the modern world, but some become dangerous. When that happens, the Talions are called in to enforce their people's harsh code of justice.

Their work can save a community. It can also damage the person doing it.

The first book, Dark Warrior Unleashed, introduces Ranulf Thorsen, a Talion enforcer who has spent centuries delivering punishment to rogue Kyth. He is weary of violence and has withdrawn from the world, but a deadly nightclub fire forces him back into action. The fire also brings him to Kerry Logan, who risks her own safety to help others and has no idea that she carries Kyth abilities.

Ranulf must protect Kerry while hunting the rogue responsible for the attack. Their growing bond matters not only because of the danger around them, but because Kerry's newly discovered identity changes what both of them believe about the future.

Dark Warrior Unbroken shifts to Sandor Kearn, another Talion and Ranulf's long-standing rival. Sandor is tracking a killer in Seattle when he meets Lena Wilson, a woman investigating her mentor's death. Lena can sense fragments of past events through touch, an ability tied to the Kyth heritage she does not yet understand.

Justice is never uncomplicated in this world.

The final book, Dark Warrior Untamed, follows Talion chief Greyhill Danby and Piper Ryan. Piper works close to the Kyth leadership but has secrets of her own. Threatening messages and a plot against the Grand Dame push both characters to decide where trust belongs.

The series is urban paranormal romance with a strong mystery and action element. Seattle provides the modern setting, while the Kyth's long history and energy-based powers give the books their supernatural foundation. The romances are passionate, but the ongoing question is always whether people who have lived by duty and secrecy can make room for a different life.

Begin with Dark Warrior Unleashed. It introduces the Kyth, the Talions' role, and the tensions among the characters that carry through the later books.
