Star Trek: Section 31 Books in Order

The Section 31 books are spy thrillers inside Star Trek, but they never treat espionage as glamorous. The central problem is the organization itself. Section 31 says it exists to protect the Federation. Everyone around it has to decide whether that claim means anything once secrecy, sabotage, and murder become standard tools.

David Mack's entries lean hard into Julian Bashir's history with the group. That gives the series a useful anchor. Bashir believes in the Federation as an idea, so every collision with Section 31 becomes more than a mission. It becomes an argument about what Starfleet is willing to excuse in the name of security.

That argument gets personal fast.

The books move through covert operations, political fallout, and buried history, but the continuing tension is simple: if the Federation lets monsters work in the dark for a good cause, what exactly is it saving?
