Series background & context

Secrets of Savannah blends romance with friendship and renovation drama. At the center of the series is Savannah House, a historic property on Tybee Island tied to an inheritance that pulls together a group of women who have known one another since childhood. Once close, their friendships have been strained by secrets, betrayal, and the ordinary wear and tear of growing up.

That setup gives the series more of an ensemble feel than many small-town romances. Each book follows a different woman, but the inn links them all. As Savannah House is restored, so are old relationships, not perfectly or quickly, but piece by piece. Till The End Of Time opens the door to that shared world. A Moment in the Moonlight, The Last Kiss, For Love Alone, Falling in Love, and Heart of Mine continue the pattern, pairing each heroine with a romance while the larger story of the house keeps moving forward.

The house matters.

So does the setting. Savannah and Tybee Island give the books a coastal Southern atmosphere, old money history, family expectations, legal tangles, and just enough glamour to make the inn-restoration story feel a little bigger than ordinary life. But Calhoune keeps the focus personal. The women are dealing with heartbreak, reputation, forgiveness, and the awkward truth that sometimes the people who know you best are also the ones who can hurt you most.

Readers who like a touch of women's fiction in their romance will probably enjoy this series. The love stories matter, but so do the friendships, the renovations, and the long, slow work of becoming close again after too much has gone unsaid.
