Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac is set in Solaria before the events of Zodiac Academy, but the mood is different from the start. Instead of twin heirs arriving at a magical school, this series follows Elise Callisto, a vampire who enters Aurora Academy looking for the truth about her brother's death.

That gives the books a strong murder-mystery spine. Elise is not there to make friends, and she is definitely not there to fall for anybody. She suspects one of the four kings of Aurora had a hand in what happened, so she pushes straight into their world, where gang ties, school power, and private loyalties all overlap.

Elise is hunting answers, and the answers keep pushing back.

The four boys at the center of the series each bring a different kind of danger, which is part of why the reverse harem element works so well here. The tension is not only romantic.
