Planted and Plowed is a contemporary romantic-comedy series about the Storm sisters, a group of women who have learned to survive by relying on each other. Their lives are rooted in Pittsburgh, but their work brings dirt, plants, bees, urban lots, small businesses, and plenty of unexpected problems into the city.

The sisters have unusual jobs and strong ideas about how they want to live. They are resourceful, sometimes chaotic, and not always comfortable asking for help. Against the Grain begins with Eila Storm, an impulsive plant lover who wants to turn an unused city lot into a hop farm. Ben Barber is a city inspector who believes rules exist for a reason. When he discovers that Eila's project has no permits, their attraction collides with a very practical problem: he may have to shut down the business she is trying to build.

Their relationship is an opposites-attract story. Eila is instinctive and messy, while Ben needs order and clear procedures. Neither approach is wrong, but they have to learn how to listen when their differences become personal. The urban-farming plot keeps the story grounded in questions of work, independence, and creating something sustainable.

The Burgh and the Bees follows Eila's sister Eden, an urban beekeeper whose finances and home life are under strain. Nate is a contractor grieving his father while trying to keep the family construction business together. Their first encounter went badly, but a bee-removal job puts them back in each other's path and gives them a chance to see one another more clearly.

The series balances light wordplay and romantic heat with characters handling real uncertainty. The Storm sisters support one another, but they also have to set boundaries, confront old patterns, and decide what kind of lives they want beyond survival. The natural world is more than decoration here. Hops, hives, gardens, and growing things mirror the work of building trust.
