Pirate Academy is a swashbuckling fantasy adventure set in the same broad world as Vampirates, but it is designed as a fresh starting point for younger readers. The year is 2507, piracy is thriving again, and the Pirate Federation runs an elite school to train the next generation.

The school is not a place for sitting quietly at desks all day. Pupils learn sailing, knots, combat, navigation, and the practical skills needed to survive on the water. Their teachers are pirate legends, and every lesson comes with pressure to prove yourself.

The main students are Jacoby Blunt and Jasmine Peacock, members of the Barracuda class. In New Kid on Deck, their routine changes when Neo Splice arrives with a dangerous secret. The threat soon moves beyond ordinary school rivalries, forcing the students to work together when danger reaches the Academy itself.

The books balance classroom mishaps and team dynamics with larger adventures on the sea. Jacoby, Jasmine, and Neo each have their own worries, strengths, and reasons for pushing forward. The adventure moves across different waters, but the school remains a useful anchor: the children are still learning who they are, what kind of pirates they want to become, and when rules are worth questioning.
