The lead is Micah Regent, a pre-med student in Neo-Hokkaido whose life gets derailed when ninja girl statues come to life and start fighting in front of him. That is only the beginning.

From there, Micah gets pulled into a rebel struggle against the Society of Monks and their killer nuns, while also discovering that his own place in this world is stranger than he knew. The books run on escalation. Every time Micah thinks he has grasped the size of the problem, another layer opens underneath it.

The cyberpunk side gives the setting its bite, while the cultivation elements provide the growth arc. Micah has to become stronger, but he also has to understand the machinery, politics, and weird spiritual logic behind the conflict. The result is a series that feels loud on the surface yet still has a real progression spine underneath.

If you like action that refuses to stay tidy and a setting that mixes tech, martial growth, and anarchic humor, this one is a good match. It is big, unruly, and very committed to its own energy.
