Iris

by Eden Finley

2022

Series background & context

Mike Bravo Ops drops you into a world of off the books missions, close quarters tension and a tight knit team that doubles as a found family. The private security outfit specialises in the kinds of black ops work governments like to deny, and most of the crew are former military who did not fit inside rigid systems.

Each book follows a different member of the team as they juggle life threatening jobs with relationships that are just as consuming. Iris pairs the units resident adrenaline junkie and class clown with the golden boy soldier he once trained beside, years of unresolved attraction simmering under a rescue gone sideways. Rogue focuses on Trav, the man who built Mike Bravo from the ground up, and a disgraced cop whose only safe option is to trust the one person he never planned to.

With Atlas, the action shifts undercover. Atlas takes a risky solo assignment in a strip club to prove he is leadership material, only to find himself drawn to Lemon, the dancer who knows everybodys secrets. What should have been a clean operation turns into a slow burn connection for a man who is far more used to being the protector than the one who is emotionally exposed.

In Zeus, the teams cocky driver and resident flirt collides with Callie, a woman who has been running for her life and is running out of places to hide. Their story leans hard into romantic suspense, with mob entanglements, high stakes choices and a heroine who is not interested in being anyones damsel.

Across the series you get the usual Eden Finley mix of sharp dialogue, heat and emotional honesty, wrapped in car chases, tactical gear and dangerous rescues. The guys tease each other relentlessly, but they also show up without question when one of their own is in trouble, whether that means backup on a mission or a couch and a listening ear.

Novellas like Angel Domino expand the world even further, bringing in bodyguard assignments for rock stars and single parents from her Famous books. Those shorter stories introduce FF and MF pairings while still feeling like part of the same universe.

New readers can comfortably start with Iris and read straight through, but each romance stands alone with its own arc and happy ending. If you like your action scenes with banter, your found families a bit chaotic, and your happily ever afters hard won, Mike Bravo Ops is the corner of Finleys universe built for you.
