Series background & context

This series trades ancient ruins and big cities for Tennessee, whiskey, and a heroine who has absolutely no intention of letting a vampire run her life. Masie Kicklighter works at her family's bar in Leiper's Fork and would prefer a normal future. Instead she gets supernatural attention, local trouble, and a very persistent man who thinks fate has already settled the matter.

Vampires, Whiskey, and Southern Charm introduces the mood, Southern voice, heavy chemistry, stubborn refusal on both sides, and the sense that the town itself is part of the story. Vampires, Moonshine, and Southern Secrets pushes deeper into the fallout, with more danger and more hidden truths turning up around Masie's world.

These books are playful, but they are not flimsy.

Pamfiloff uses the setting well, making the series feel distinct from her Arizona and myth-based stories. If you want paranormal romance with a regional flavor, strong banter, and a heroine who meets supernatural destiny by putting her hands on her hips and arguing with it, this is a fun place to start.
