Kingdom of Walls is a three-book medieval dystopian romance series set in a kingdom worn down by a decade of famine. Defender of Crowns follows the youngest Suttone sister, Eda. Impatient, sharp-tongued, and ready to act, she wants answers about Chadora's empty throne and the missing rightful heir. Roul Thornton is a defender with a careful plan and too many secrets, but Eda's determination keeps pulling him away from the safer path he had intended to follow.

Each novel has its own central couple, but the larger story moves through all three books. The famine, merchant uprising, royal uncertainty, and the people left outside the walls continue to shape every choice. The Suttone sisters are connected by family as well as by their refusal to accept a broken system simply because it has existed for a long time.

The tone is tense but romantic, with guarded soldiers, determined heroines, political pressure, and plenty of forced proximity.
