Heroes of St. Helena Books in Order

Heroes of St. Helena takes Marina Adair's wine-country setting and adds a more openly protective, service-oriented cast. The books revolve around the Baudouin brothers, men whose jobs put them in uniforms, on call, and in the middle of other people's emergencies. That gives the series a slightly higher-stakes feel than her pure rom-com work, even though the emotional heart is still small-town chemistry and family interference.

The setting is St. Helena, California, already familiar to readers of Adair's vineyard books, but the focus here shifts from the DeLuca family to local heroes. Need You for Mine pairs firefighter Adam Baudouin with Harper Owens in a faux-romance setup that quickly gets too real. Need You for Keeps brings in pet rescuer Shay Michaels and law-and-order Jonah Baudouin, which gives the series one of its clearest opposites-attract hooks. Need You for Always follows Emi Blake and former Army Ranger Dax Baudouin as a one-night stand turns into something more serious.

The town is beautiful, but the jobs are not low stakes.

That contrast is part of what makes the series work. St. Helena is scenic, polished, and full of postcard charm, yet these books keep reminding you that ordinary life still includes danger, burnout, career pressure, and the fear of wanting something you may not be able to protect. The men are capable and often outwardly composed, but the books do not let competence stand in for emotional readiness.

The heroines matter just as much. Harper is trying to save her family's shop. Shay is building an animal rescue and living exactly how she chooses. Emi has plans far beyond simply being somebody's love interest. Adair is good at giving these women their own momentum, which keeps the romances from feeling one-sided.

If you like small-town romance with firefighters, deputies, soldiers, and men who look steady until love knocks them off balance, Heroes of St. Helena is a very readable lane in Adair's bibliography. It keeps the warmth of the St. Helena setting, but adds more urgency, more protective energy, and a little more edge to the happily-ever-after.
