Haunted Properties Books in Order

Haunted Properties is one of Angela Roquet's lighter paranormal series, but light does not mean small. The setup is delightfully busy: a witch with modest magic, a haunted real-estate career, a small town full of shifters, and a romance that keeps getting tested by curses, ghosts, money problems, and family drama. It is a rom-com world, but one where the supernatural messes have real consequences.

At the center is Margo West.

Margo starts out in How to Sell a Haunted House as the least impressive member of a notorious witch family. She is not the big, flashy kind of magical heroine. Her talents are smaller, more domestic, and a lot easier to underestimate. When she inherits a temperamental broom from her grandmother and lands in a strange shifter town in West Virginia, she tries to build a new life in real estate. That turns out to be a pretty good fit. A little hearth magic goes a long way when you are cleaning up houses, calming spaces, and trying to make a place feel livable.

Then Roquet makes things harder in the best way by bringing in Dylan Hernández, a broody fruit bat shifter with a haunted family home to sell. That house, and the trouble tied to it, gives the series its shape. These are not books about abstract magic. They are about places. Old homes, fixer-uppers, cursed properties, family spaces no one has fully let go of. The ghosts are often emotional problems as much as literal ones.

The middle books keep widening that world. Better Haunts and Graveyards leans into the fallout from Margo's attempt to break a family curse, with ghost sightings spreading around town and Margo's wicked cousin circling the broom she inherited. By Haunt Wrecker, Margo and Dylan are newlyweds trying to build a future together, only to find that marriage, money, fertility worries, and unexpected houseguests can be just as chaotic as any haunting. The series grows with them, which gives the romance more weight than a simple will-they-or-won't-they setup.

The town itself matters too. Assjacket is odd, nosy, magical, and a little ridiculous in a very intentional way. Roquet uses that small-town setting for both comedy and comfort. There are shifters, witches, family feuds, and the usual problem of trying to keep a personal crisis private in a place where everybody already knows half your business.

What makes Haunted Properties work is its balance. The books are quick and funny, but they are not just fluff. Margo is dealing with feeling overlooked, then overburdened. Dylan carries family baggage of his own. Their relationship has to survive actual life, not just enchanted meet-cutes.

So if you want paranormal romance with ghosts, bats, broomstick trouble, and a heroine whose powers are more useful than glamorous, this is the lane. It is witchy, domestic, romantic, and just chaotic enough to stay fun.
