Forts of Freedom is John Legg's historical Western series set around important frontier forts and trading centers of the nineteenth-century West. The books use real places, including Bent's Fort, Fort Laramie, Fort Defiance, and Fort Bridger, as the center of stories about trade, military power, diplomacy, migration, and conflict.
