Colorado Territory Books in Order

The Colorado Territory series is a set of connected Western adventures set in mining towns, ranch country, mountain valleys, and rough settlements where the law is often outnumbered. The books share a place and a frontier mood more than one strict storyline, so readers can enjoy them as individual adventures while returning to familiar kinds of dangers.

Bounty hunter Brodie Pike is one of the key figures. He is capable with a gun, but he is not a man looking for trouble just to prove himself. Trouble finds him anyway. In Buckskin County War, his decision to help a rancher draws him into a violent fight over land and power. Pike's Vengeance sends him after the men responsible for an attack on a peaceful Ute community.

The series also makes room for other heroes with their own burdens. In Colorado Renegade, bounty hunter Elias Prosper heads into the mountains after a renegade Ute warrior who has taken people Prosper once rescued. Coward of Sand Creek follows Chase Tanner, a man marked by public shame after opposing the killing of Cheyenne and Arapaho people at Sand Creek.

These are books about men who are asked to choose between walking away and doing what they think is right.

Cheyenne Lance explores the fur-trade world, while Hard Land returns Brodie Pike to the gold and silver towns, where friends in danger pull him back into a fight. Across the series, Legg keeps the stakes personal: protect a neighbor, clear a name, find the missing, or stop a violent man before he destroys more lives.
