Forgotten Realms: Finder's Stone Books in Order

The Finder's Stone trilogy is a Forgotten Realms adventure sequence by Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb. Its three books share a magical artifact, the troubled legacy of the bard Finder Wyvernspur, and a growing circle of characters who begin as strangers and end up facing dangers far beyond any ordinary treasure hunt.

It starts with Azure Bonds. Alias is a sellsword who wakes with five twisting blue sigils marked on her arm and no memory of receiving them. Determined to learn what the marks mean, she joins forces with Olive Ruskettle, a halfling bard, Akabar bel Akash, a mage from Turmish, and Dragonbait, a quiet saurial paladin. Their search becomes a fight to understand Alias's own existence before the people behind the sigils find her first.

The next book, The Wyvern's Spur, shifts the focus to Giogi Wyvernspur and Cat, a talented bard and mage. A powerful family heirloom, the Wyvern's Spur, has been stolen, and its loss puts Giogi in the path of an old curse. The story explores the mess left by inheritance, ambition, and magical objects that have their own costly rules.

Then the strands begin to pull together.

In Song of the Saurials, Finder Wyvernspur, also known as the Nameless Bard, faces a new Harper trial after being blamed for the deaths of his apprentices. The proceedings fall apart amid disappearances and murders, and Alias, Akabar, Dragonbait, and Olive must work out whether one enemy is shaping the chaos. The threat reaches back to the ancient evil Moander and gives the trilogy its biggest sense of urgency.

These books are party-based fantasy in the best sense. Each character brings a different strength and a different problem to the group, so plans rarely survive contact with reality. There is room for jokes and bickering, but the stories keep moving through curses, mysteries, hidden identities, and the unpredictable consequences of old magic.

Start with Azure Bonds and read in publication order. While each novel gives another character time in the spotlight, the relationships and larger magical questions carry forward, and Song of the Saurials lands best after the first two books.
