Entity Books in Order

The Entity series takes place in Chicago, but it is not quite the Chicago most people know. Vampires have built a hidden community called Vamptown, witches and demon hunters have their own history, and ordinary neighborhoods can hide very old secrets. The books blend paranormal danger with romantic comedy, mystery, and a fair amount of teasing.

It starts with Sleeping with the Entity. Daniella Delaney wants to open Heavenly Cupcakes in a rundown Chicago neighborhood. Nick St. George, the vampire leader of Vamptown, wants to stop her. Their disagreement is practical at first, then personal, then much harder to walk away from. Daniella's bakery and Nick's clan become a useful doorway into the series' supernatural side.

Each later book shifts focus to a new couple while keeping the wider Vamptown community nearby. In The Entity Within, witch Zoe Adams and her grandmother arrive in Chicago after being cast out of Boston. Zoe's new life becomes tangled with Damon Thornheart, a vampire demon hunter, when an old magical problem turns dangerous.

The stakes get stranger from there.

The Entity Who Came for Christmas follows witch Pru Daniels and vampire demon hunter Simon Howell during a holiday visit that turns into a fight against evil. Love Your Entity moves into a haunted old Chicago home, where writer Sierra Brennan, vampire Ronan McCoy, and a ghost with unfinished business all have claims on the same place. Tall, Dark and Immortal pairs journalist Keira Turner with vampire detective Alex Sanchez as stolen blood from Chicago hospitals points to a larger threat.

The central appeal is the mix. These are vampire romances, but they are not built around relentless gloom. The characters deal with danger, ancient grudges, magical rules, and rival supernatural groups, while also arguing about homes, work, family, and whether trusting someone is a terrible idea. Chicago matters as more than a backdrop, from old houses and neighborhood businesses to police work and blood banks.

Read in publication order for the fullest picture of Vamptown. The romances are largely self-contained, but returning characters, shared rules, and earlier events land better when you begin with Daniella and Nick.
