Coven is one of Apryl Baker's early paranormal series, set in and around New Salem, a town shaped by witches, old fear, and long-buried history. The series begins with The Promise and continues with The Oath.

In The Promise, Cassie Jayne Bishop has grown up as a nonbeliever in a town where the Coven holds real power. When a stranger arrives and questions the things she thought she knew, Cassie is pushed to revisit painful questions about her sister's death and her own family's past.
