Clan Ross of Skye Books in Order

Clan Ross of Skye opens a newer branch of Hildie McQueen's Ross world and moves the action onto the Isle of Skye. The family resemblance is clear right away: proud warriors, hard choices, and women who are a lot stronger than the men first assume. But this series also feels a little more mystery-driven than some of the earlier Ross books.

The Wolf starts with an arranged peace marriage and a heroine who has been treated like an afterthought in her own family. From there, The Hawk, The Raven, and The Falcon widen the circle with attacks on the clan, hidden pasts, accusations of murder, and heroes who spend a lot of time tracking danger almost as much as they are tracking their feelings.

Skye matters as more than scenery. The island setting gives the books a windswept, exposed feel that suits stories about ambushes, uncertain alliances, and characters trying to guard both clan land and private hearts.

If you already like the Ross books, this series feels like a later-generation extension with its own rhythm. If you are new to McQueen, it also works as a solid entry point because the emotional setup is easy to follow and the books are tightly focused on one couple at a time.
