Series background & context

Billion $ Bastards is one of Jackie Ashenden's Harlequin Dare series, so the pitch is simple in the best possible way: powerful men, bold women, and a lot of heat. But the trilogy works because each hero's polished control is more fragile than it looks.

The books track different billionaires, each with his own version of damage and dominance. In Dirty Devil, Damian Blackwood catches a thief and turns the confrontation into something much more intimate. In Sexy Beast, Everett Calhoun's best friend crosses a line that makes distance impossible. In Bad Boss, a work relationship becomes a consent-driven game neither lead can keep neatly contained.

Across all three books, money gives the heroes power but not peace. The heroines are not there to admire them from a distance. They challenge, tempt, and destabilize them, which is where the emotional movement comes from.

If you want a fast, sexy billionaire trilogy with sharp banter, strong chemistry, and just enough emotional bruising under the surface, this is a very approachable place to start with Ashenden's steamier contemporary work.
