Series background & context
Nine Circles is one of Jackie Ashenden's darkest billionaire worlds. The series centers on the members of the Nine Circles Club, wealthy men connected by power, appetite, secrets, and the belief that they can manage anything if they keep enough control.
Naturally, that belief does not hold.
The books move through glamorous, dangerous spaces: private clubs, Paris nights, kidnappings, fake relationships, high-stakes gambling, and revenge plots that get complicated once genuine attraction shows up. The heroes are not soft around the edges, and the romances do not pretend otherwise.
Mine to Take, Make You Mine, You Are Mine, Kidnapped by the Billionaire, and In Bed With the Billionaire all fit that general mood. So does the collected volume Mine. Each book works with a different couple, but the series as a whole is about powerful men learning that wanting someone is not the same thing as possessing them.
If you like intense, opulent, slightly dangerous contemporary romance, Nine Circles is one of the clearest Ashenden signatures.
