Tonally, Avalon Adventure sits in the high-octane action-adventure lane. There are riddles, old journals, lost civilizations, stolen relics, and villains with plans that could wreck far more than a single city. But the books also keep returning to the idea of teamwork under pressure. Mitch Decker is capable and tough, yet these stories are rarely about one lone hero fixing everything. They are about a crew learning how to hold together while the world keeps trying to tear them apart.
