They are cozy, affectionate, a little spooky, and nicely rooted in the ongoing relationships readers already care about.

You can think of this series as Angie's later-era world: same heroine, same city, same mix of food and danger, but with more ghosts, more domestic stakes, and more room for the people who know her best.
