Wrong Bed Books in Order

Wrong Bed is not a single-cast Donna Kauffman series so much as a themed romance line built around comic mishaps, mistaken assumptions, and fast-burning attraction. Donna's books in this corner, including Carried Away and Simon Says..., use that setup exactly the way you would hope.

The fun of a Wrong Bed story is that the premise gets people off balance before they have time to protect themselves. Somebody is in the wrong place, the wrong room, the wrong relationship situation, or all three, and from there the story turns on banter, embarrassment, chemistry, and the question of whether the mistake might actually lead somewhere right. Carried Away does that with a bungled pickup that throws Trevor McQuillen and Christy Russell together fast.

These books are lighter and more compact than a big romantic suspense novel. The stakes are still emotional, but the tone tends to be playful first. Kauffman uses that well.

That is the whole point here.
