Series background & context
Witches Of Port Townsend is the series to pick up if you want Kerrigan Byrne in full supernatural chaos mode. The setup is wild in the best way, four identical sisters, four elemental powers, four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and a prophecy that makes ordinary family drama feel very small by comparison.
The de Moray sisters do not begin as a neat little coven. One of the fun things about the series is that they have to find each other first, then figure out what being sisters even means while the world is trying to end. Moira, Claire, Aerin, and Tierra each bring a different element and a different personality to the group, so the books keep moving between romance, magic, and sibling friction.
Port Townsend matters too. Byrne uses the town's moody coastal atmosphere as a base for something much bigger, mixing old magic with modern life, local weirdness, and looming apocalypse signs. The result is not a quiet witchy series. This world has demons, undead threats, witch hunters, possession, prophecies, and a growing sense that the end may already be in motion.
And then there are the Horsemen.
Each sister is pulled toward a man she should absolutely not trust, because he is, in fact, one of the great catastrophic forces of the universe. That gives the romance a built-in push and pull. The pairings are sexy, messy, and often funny, but there is real danger underneath them. The sisters are not falling for brooding strangers with bad manners. They are falling for Conquest, War, Pestilence, and Death.
Across books like Which Witch is Which?, Which Witch is Wicked?, Which Witch is Wild?, and Which Witch is Willing?, the stakes keep climbing. The series works best for readers who enjoy paranormal romance that is loud, fast, and a little bonkers, but still anchored by character bonds. For all the end-of-the-world spectacle, the through line is family, and whether these women can trust one another, and themselves, long enough to change fate.
