Wilted Kingdom is a dark college bully romance duet, and it works best if you go in knowing that the relationship is the whole point. This is not a linked standalone setup. It is one story told across two books, and the push and pull between the leads is meant to deepen rather than reset.

The mood is tense from page one.

Seeds of Malice starts with a heroine realizing she has been shoved into a twisted game she never agreed to play. That gives the duet its first hook, power is already uneven before the romance has a chance to complicate it further. From there, the story leans into control, humiliation, obsession, and the question of how much of the danger is strategic and how much is deeply personal.

By the time you reach Thorns of Malice, the setup has moved beyond simple school rivalry. The history between the characters feels bigger, meaner, and much harder to dismiss.
