Series background & context
Wickedest Witch is a paranormal romance series that mixes angels, witches, vampires, and a fated-mate bond that refuses to behave politely. The tone is dark and spicy, with a pushy, protective hero and a heroine who keeps slipping out of the roles other people try to force on her.
At the center is Gabriel, an archangel who finally finds his mate, only to realize she’s not going to fall in line just because the universe chose him for her. His mate is a witch with a dangerous reputation and her own secrets, and the series takes its time showing that “wicked” can mean powerful, misunderstood, or simply unwilling to be controlled.
Gabriel isn’t used to being ignored.
In Wicked Witch, their connection is immediate, but it’s also complicated by memory, trust, and the way power can distort consent if nobody’s paying attention. Gabriel wants certainty and control, while the witch is busy trying to keep her autonomy, and possibly her safety, intact.
The series expands outward in Dark Vampire, pulling the couple into vampire territory and supernatural politics where seduction is another form of control. Vampire power games raise the stakes, and Gabriel has to confront threats he can’t smite away without consequences.
Fallen Angel turns the pressure up again, with Gabriel forced to fight for his mate in a world that’s suddenly treating her like a prize. Rivals circle, danger keeps escalating, and the story keeps asking the same question in different ways: what does it mean to choose each other when everyone else is trying to claim you first?
If you like possessive angel energy, high heat, and a series that keeps widening the supernatural map while staying focused on one intense couple, this one fits. Expect action, jealousy, and a lot of supernatural swagger. There’s also a short prequel story in this world, Claim The Wolf King, if you enjoy seeing the larger universe from another angle.
Reading order matters here because the relationship and the conflicts build straight through. Start with Wicked Witch, then move to Dark Vampire and Fallen Angel for the complete arc.
