Until Books in Order

The Until series is where Aurora Rose Reynolds’s Mayson family world begins. It starts with Until November, when November leaves New York for Tennessee, reconnects with her father, and runs straight into Asher Mayson. That first collision sets the tone: big feelings, protective instincts, family everywhere, and a romance that moves fast because the characters feel the pull before they can explain it.

The series follows the four Mayson brothers: Asher, Trevor, Cash, and Nico.

Each book focuses on a different couple, but the family thread matters almost as much as the romance. The brothers run close. They interfere. They protect. They tease each other. They also share the idea of the “boom,” Reynolds’s shorthand for that moment when a Mayson man knows he has found the woman he is meant to love.

The books are contemporary romance with a strong small-town Tennessee feel. November and Asher’s story brings in past trauma and danger. Trevor and Liz deal with rejection, pride, and a second try at getting it right. Cash and Lilly’s book is a more emotional second-chance story, built around secrets and the fallout of choices made under pressure. Nico and Sophie close the core quartet with a story about trust, fear, and stepping back into life.

These are not slow-burn romances in the quiet sense. They are direct, heated, and family-heavy. Reynolds likes heroes who know what they want and heroines who have real reasons to hesitate.

The Until books also set up a much larger reading world. Children, siblings, cousins, and friends move into the Until Her/Him spin-off, so this is the best place to start if you want the family tree to make sense. You can read for the romance alone, but starting here gives the later books more warmth because you know who raised the next generation and why the Mayson name carries so much weight.
