Under the Never Sky Books in Order

The Under the Never Sky books are young adult science fiction adventures set in a future where the sky itself has become dangerous. Violent Aether storms sweep across the land, making life outside protected settlements a constant gamble. The series begins with two very different young people who have been taught to fear each other's worlds.

Aria has grown up inside Reverie, a domed city where people are sheltered from the weather and spend much of their time in virtual Realms. When her mother disappears and Aria is cast out, she has no choice but to face the world beyond the dome. It is unfamiliar, physically demanding, and full of threats she was never prepared to meet.

Perry, also called Peregrine, comes from the Tides, one of the tribes living outside Reverie. He is searching for someone important to him, and he has abilities that make him especially attuned to the world around him. At first, he and Aria have little reason to trust one another. Survival changes that.

The main trilogy, Under the Never Sky, Through the Ever Night, and Into the Still Blue, follows Aria and Perry as their separate searches become tied to a larger fight for safety. Their relationship grows alongside the pressure on both the Dwellers from Reverie and the Outsider tribes. The question is not only whether anyone can find refuge from the Aether, but whether groups that have spent generations apart can work together.

The series also includes companion novellas. Roar and Liv looks back at the relationship between Perry's friend Roar and Perry's sister Liv, while Brooke focuses on a member of the Tides during a tense period in the main story. Roar of the Tides returns to Roar for a later adventure, pairing him with Tempest, a young woman trying to escape the troubles surrounding her own tribe.

Expect a mix of wilderness survival, romance, shifting loyalties, and a world divided between high technology and life close to the land. Start with Under the Never Sky for the full Aria and Perry story, then read the novellas as companion pieces when you want more time with the Tides.
