Trailerverse books in chronological order
Series background & context
The Trailerverse is Kimbra Swain's shared world, the place where several of her fantasy series connect, overlap, and keep talking to each other. It begins in Shady Grove with Grace Ann Bryant and Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen, but it does not stay there for long.
That is the fun of it.
As the universe expands, the focus shifts to new leads and new corners of the world. Wynonna Riggs steps forward in Stories of Frost and Fire. Dominick Meyer carries the werewolf side of the story in Dog River Wolfpack. Jakob Mercer takes readers into Charleston artifact trouble in Oddities Emporium. Other books branch into dragons, side quests, gods, and realm-sized problems, but the threads still feel connected.
This is not a shared universe built on trivia alone. The links matter because characters cross paths, major events echo across series, and emotional payoffs get stronger when you have spent time in the books around them. Some entries can stand on their own, but the fuller experience comes from reading the world as a world. A side novella may answer a question from a main series book. A wolfpack crisis may run alongside a Phoenix book. A seemingly small character may become central later.
The tone across the Trailerverse stays fairly consistent even when the setup changes. Swain likes Southern flavor, fast dialogue, found family, magical politics, and people who are in over their heads but refuse to stay down. The settings widen from Alabama trailer parks to bay cities, swamps, strange realms, and hidden supernatural communities, yet they still feel like they belong to the same storytelling DNA.
Expect crossover energy.
If you are new, start with Bless Your Heart. From there, publication order is usually the easiest way to move forward, especially once Stories of Frost and Fire and Dog River Wolfpack begin to work in tandem. The Trailerverse rewards curiosity, but it also rewards patience. The more time you spend inside it, the more clearly the connections click.
